Starting with the combination of three-dimensional paper sculpture and printmaking, participants will explore the layers, textures, and flexibility of paper. Through cutting, collage, and composition, flat printed xuan paper is invited to grow anew upon three-dimensional flower-shaped paper sculptures.

Working with paper—whether as art objects or everyday tools—paper sculptures gradually bear marks and changes through use and the passage of time. Like other natural materials, they reveal a unique sense of temporality and vitality. Paper’s inherent warmth and gentle texture evoke familiarity and softness, while its transformation into functional daily objects offers a rare and refreshing experience of use.
