Using A5 paper and provided materials: various texture, cut-out papers, crayon, and glue, participants will do collage with prompt “animal-like or imaginary creatures” through cutting, tearing, and layering. Light, family-friendly, and guided without strict instruction.
Yusi Yuansa (she/her), Bali based visual artist who primarily works with tactile mediums such as paper collage for the past 5 years and ceramics for this past 2 years.
Over the past years, her work has explored deeply personal themes, including grief, vulnerability, longing, love, and care. Through a playful artistic approach, Yusi revisits the meanings of familiar concepts from a child-like perspective, recontextualizing them to challenge how we perceive and interpret the world around us.
Recognizing the limited access to engage in artistic expression, Yusi is committed to creating inclusive spaces through her collage workshops. These workshops serve as safe, welcoming environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds can freely telling story throughout visual language. This workshops also aiming as a platform for people to connect, share, and discuss a wide range of topics without limit.
