Flesh and Cherries is a selected compilation of Beryl Wu’s work in 2023.

The book opens with a series of portraits, “Peas in a pod”, that captures the intimacy shared by people and their companions.

Some of these portraits memorialize loss, while others document a celebration of love and friendship.

The following tandem series, “An oral fixation”, and “A kinky quirk” are wry observations of the everyday norms that

exhibit humorous undertones of sexuality.

Beryl has continued her previous focus on objects, body and sexuality as the primary point of intrigue,

hoping that these moments of levity resonate with her audience.
