dengleng :: a reverse-timeline self-introduction ::

I’m someone from Kaohsiung who makes cakes, and I love stars, Pompompurin, and sleeping while listening to music ★彡

I’m fascinated by colorful lighting and shading, and I love random, non-standardized things. I’m not particularly into mass-produced items.

Since I was little, I’d always drop whatever I was holding—apparently my “slippery hands” skills were top-notch… ^^

\ &^ My brand, Dengleng, started out as a dessert venture 🪄///*

Often, inspiration strikes me in the middle of the night—Dengleng literally enters my dreams!

This gives me endless ideas that I pour into my brand (so happy).

Dengleng was founded in 2018, and in the past two years it went viral online twice—people said my cakes looked ugly and irregular. My uneven frosting even made the news (so ridiculous it made me laugh).

But honestly, I started my baking journey in vocational high school, majoring in pastry.

After graduating, I became a baking apprentice in the industry—you know, the kind of baker everyone’s heard of and tasted. I really do know how to frost a cake evenly. I usually make cakes, but I never aimed to cater to the “mainstream” market—especially in relatively conservative Taiwan and the south. I just want to put my heart into what I love. I live once, I want to do my own thing, make cakes for people who appreciate them, and bring joy to myself and others. That alone is enough.

I hope to turn everyday life into something cute, into cake form.

That’s why my brand has expanded into so many products. Recently, I’m especially proud of my #CakePillowNoWorries—I turned my cakes into pillows. You lie down, and all your worries vanish. Soft, squishy, cute… it’s irresistible.

Also, #DenglengCakeVisionTestPoster—I made a cake eye chart to test people’s vision. Whether anyone can actually read it or not is unclear, but the fun is in playing with everyone who loves Dengleng.

So, carefree creativity is Dengleng’s guiding spirit 嘻嘻 🌀🍀🎵

—We held Dengleng exhibitions in 2024 and 2025. Naturally, my exhibitions are just like my cakes: none are edible. They’re all works I’ve created over the years, which I love and enjoy very much. The next exhibition will be this April—I’m super excited!
