Customer Reviews

J-Fever lived in Beijing for thirty years and then moved to Shanghai; SOULSPEAK lived in Beijing for ten years and then returned to Los Angeles. After leaving, they both came up with the idea to create this album, called Beijing?.

The tracklist of the album is printed on the front of the cover, but it can only be revealed by scratching off the anti-counterfeit layer. The back of the cover leaves an entire "canvas" layer, inviting you to sketch your own vision of Beijing. The album itself is a toy—records, lyrics, and a booklet are hidden within, and the process of flipping through it is like wandering through the Hutong alleyways of Beijing. The booklet is an image book co-created by artist Xiao Longhua and his friends. Just like J-Fever and SOULSPEAK, they once lived in Beijing but have since moved elsewhere.
