This artist book, co-created by Zhao Ruotong and Zhao Tingyan,

explores the connection and transformation between travel and relationships.

It contains two diaries with blank spaces, mapping two journeys with coordinates and image fragments.

In summer 2023, each creator, driven by an inner impulse, embarked on separate solo travels,

Amid vast, aimless wandering, they encountered fellow travelers, forming fleeting friendships and romances.

The book can be opened from either the left or right.

As readers turn the pages, they witness this long journey as a practice in farewells.

Its delicate cover, once torn, cannot be restored,

symbolizing the authors’ unconscious drive to use travel as a way to clarify their relationships.

As the coordinates in the book gradually blur, one author moves towards the end of a relationship, while the other,

through clearer coordinates, recalls her longing for someone.

Presented in the form of diaries based on the authors‘ personal experiences,

this book invites readers to reflect on relationships, travel, and self.

Through shared experiences in the diaries, it reveals that travel remains an enduring path to self-exploration

and facing relationships.
